Someone's in the Kitchen with...Robbie!

Going along with our pumpkin theme of the season, Robbie and I made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! He loved watching the Bosch mix up the ingredients.
making sure they're good enough to eat!

Cornbellys

Robbie had been to Cornbellys with Brian and Grandpa W. earlier, and it looked like so much fun I wanted to take him again. We went with our friends, Kara and Kaiya. We got there right as it opened so there weren't many people yet. We were able to do more of the activities that Brian wanted to do, but couldn't since it was more crowded the day they went.

the go-carts
The jumping pillow--Robbie especially loved this one. If you blow up the picture you can see him giggling.
the cow train
going through the corn maze... eating some snacks (not the corn, graham crackers;-))
the huge slide down the side of a stack of hay

playing in the corn box (instead of sand)
getting ready to go down a kiddie slide
Running away from the scary thing..we were walking towards this monster maze, which is only haunted at night, and Robbie didn't like the idea of heading towards it. :-)
revisiting his favorite train from last time
playing tether ball
watching the pig races

Pumpkinland

We went to Pumpkinland in Orem again this year with our friends, Kara and Kaiya.

a little wagon ride...after a while Kaiya was pulling Robbie around in the wagon...he loved the ride!

Painting and Carving Pumpkins

This week for our Family Night activity we painted and carved the pumpkins we got last week. Robbie created a masterpiece...turns out he could be the next Picasso! I thought we would have paint everywhere by the end of the night, but he did really well..only a little on his face.

Brian wanted to carve his pumpkin, and I think he did rather nice.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the South Ridge Pumpkin Patch again this year with the Law Partners group. It was a lot different this time around since Robbie was more interested in the tractor ride and walking around the patch. Last year he was only 4 months and was happy to sit in his carrying pouch.

Here's the one we actually took home...I liked the curly stem.

Jumping

A new talent for Robbie has been jumping. He loves it and thinks he is so cool when he does it!
In the video he says,"Boom" when he lands. He hasn't gotten both feet off the ground yet, but he got pretty close last night.

Misplacements

We have found more and more things misplaced around the house lately. Here are some of the funnier ones.

This gourd has the perfect hook on the end to help the jack-o-lantern have new nose.

Robbie's car has turned into a dump truck.
the culprit ;-) (you can actually see his molars that have been coming in)

Cougar Pride

Even though the Cougars didn't fight so well this week, we noticed that Robbie started to sing along with the fight song. The very end is his favorite. The tradition continues!!

Arches National Park

This week was Brian's Fall Placement Break. We wanted to take a little trip to see Arches, Four Corners, and Mesa Verde. So we left on Wednesday and headed to Arches.

Balancing Rock

Parade of Elephants
Two Windows
Here we are at the start of the 3 mile hike to Delicate Arch (the one on the license plate). A big thanks to the Fabelas for letting us borrow their backpack to carry Robbie...it was great to have on the trip, and we couldn't have done the hike without it!!!

petroglyphs along the way

up the slick rock

We made it! Pictures don't fully capture the beauty and amazingness (I think I just made that word up;-)) of these arches!

the view in front of the arch

If you blow up the picture you can see us standing under it...it's huge!

Brian and Robbie headed back down.
Back at the car after our hike. Things we saw along our way: lizards galore, nice foreign folk (I think we were the only Americans), and a European grandma who thought it was too hot to keep her shirt on...don't worry, we didn't take pictures of that!

Fiery Furnace

That night at the hotel, we went for a swim.

Monticello Temple

The next day we were driving on our way to Four Corners through Monticello. As we were driving through the little town we noticed the Moroni statue on the top of the temple, so we stopped to see it. It's one of the smaller temples, but still very beautiful.
Then we hopped in our car and headed to Four Corners. Along the way Robbie liked playing peek-a-boo.
