Celebrate

My birthday this year was great! Robbie and I got to go to Disneyland for the day. He was a blast to hang out with...excited about everything he was seeing and experiencing. Here's a little montage of our day at the park. Notice the tired eyes towards the end of the day ;-)

After the park, we met Brian for dinner at one of my favorites...Islands!

On Sunday, Brian made me my favorite cake..Wacky Chocolate Cake.
And he gave me a set of 4 musicals (yeah!) and told me I could pick out the fabric for this quilt I've been dying to make. Here's the material and pattern I picked. It's been a great celebration, and I appreciate all of the cards, gifts, phone calls, and emails sent my way! Thanks everyone!

Daddy Night-Night

Brian got a brief chance on Saturday to snooze on the couch. Robbie noticed that Daddy was "night-night" and wanted to make sure he was comfortable. He brought him pillows and friends to sleep with ;-) I think Brian felt pretty special when he woke up (if he was actually able to sleep at all).

King Robbie

Robbie and I went to a mall this week and stopped at Burger King for lunch in their food court. The lady at the register thought that Robbie would look so cute in a crown and offered him one. He loved it! He wore it all day and keeps returning to play with it throughout the week.

Foggy Day

This morning was super foggy...more than normal. Usually we go for a walk in the mornings and end up at the park for Robbie to play for a little bit. Today however the equipment was all covered in dew and Robbie did not want to play in the water. So I let him walk home beside me to get some energy out. He did really well.

Charger Studs

We found Robbie a Charger jersey, so my boys were sporting them on game day this week. The game didn't go so well, but my guys looked good watching it!

My Little Helper

Robbie has started to notice when I need help around the house, and he is always more than willing to lend a hand. I have a few stories...

Last week as we were getting ready for the day, I told Robbie that I was jumping in the shower and that when I got out it would be his turn for a bath. When I got out of the shower, I found this on my bedroom floor:
He had gone to get a diaper, wipes, changing pad, and some ointment and was laying there waiting for me to get him ready for a bath! I loved it!
---
Then on Sunday, I was in a rush to get ready for church, and Robbie told me he would make my bed for me. ;-)I have such a sweet, helpful boy, and I just can't get enough of him. He is really good at putting away his toys and books when I ask. He also is very helpful when it comes to putting groceries away--although he's had to be trained that some things (like eggs and cheese) don't go in the cupboard.

BYU Rah, Rah Rah!

We watched the BYU v. OU game on Saturaday and were screaming by the end of it! 14 to 13...We won!!!!! It was such a great game, and Robbie loved that BYU football was again part of our lives. He remembers watching the games last year. He's so funny to watch a game with. He makes comments and cheers like he really knows what's going on. Anyway, we are stoked that BYU won...what a great start to a season!

Touchdown!!

Robbie's Bean Sprout

Robbie's teacher in nursery had a lesson on Heavenly Father creating the plants. She gave him a bean seed to grow at home. She gave it to us already planted, so I came home and put it on our window sill in the kitchen. A few days later...up came this little green sprout. I wasn't expecting it to grow, but it's doing quite nicely. She said that in about 2 months we can eat the beans!

Oh, Lemon Tree

We love the lemons coming off of our tree. Check out the size of this one we found this week. I laid it on our counter next to our other fruit, and it was the size of our bananas! Robbie likes to spot these on our lawn and run to fetch them for me when they fall.

Rabbit

We currently share our backyard with this cute little rabbit. He comes hopping through in the mornings when we eat our breakfast and one time we saw him at night too. He likes to eat our grass. Robbie LOVES trying to find our rabbit at breakfast. He used to call him Bob, but now it's just Rabbit, so I'm not quite sure what his name is, but it might be Bob the Rabbit.
