Mechanic

This morning Robbie got out his tools and cars to play. Later when Swimming Grandma asked him what he was doing he said, "I'm fixin' my Porsche!" It was so cute. I didn't realize what exactly he was doing until he said that. I had to get some pictures!

Super Robbie

Robbie likes the PBS show "Super Why". He likes to say, "Super Why, to the rescue!" and act out his own rescues. He found out recently that his blanket makes a great "tape" (cape in Robbie language). It's so cute to watch him use his imagination. I want to make him a real cape in the near future.

Sour Face

I bought some salt and vinegar chips last week. When Robbie tried them, I didn't think he would like them because of the vinegar, but he did! He would take a bite and make the funniest faces and then ask for more! Here are a few faces that I captured.

Rain, Rain, ....

It's been raining here so hard for the past week it seems. We've seen some flooding in our yard. Nothing's gotten into our house, thank goodness, but we haven't wanted to go out much!

our front walk way
In this picture, the water is up past the bottom rung on our gate, which is a few inches off the ground. Today Robbie and I are staying indoors all day! We are playing games, watching movies, and doing crafts. In the words of Robbie, "Super Fun!"

"Let's Buy It"

Robbie is starting to understand the concept that we have to buy something before we can head out of the store with it. When we are at a store he will look at something and let me know whether he thinks we should buy it ;-). It's pretty funny! At home though, he has found a joy in playing "buy it" as he calls it. He has this cereal box spoon that lights up when you push the button. He has taken the scoop part off and uses it as a scanner for the products.

I love it at the end when he gives me my money back! Maybe he thinks it works more like a credit card!

Legos

One of Robbie's favorite things to do is build towers. Here's his tallest so far. He's pretty proud of it, despite the look on his face ;-)

Silly Faces

Robbie discovered this week that he could crack himself up by making silly faces in this door knob. He liked that his face was distorted. It was so funny watching him make weird faces and then letting out the best belly-laugh ever! He still surprises me with what will entertain him!

Knotts Berry Farm

We finally got to go to Knotts Berry Farm yesterday. We were planning on going with Bobby and Breanna when they were visiting, but I got sick and we just couldn't make it. However, we had already gotten our tickets so we had to go this month. It was so fun! It was the perfect day to go. It was about 70* outside and hardly anyone was there. The lines were small and we got to go on every ride we wanted to. Robbie had a blast in Camp Snoopy riding his kind of rides.

measuring up with Charlie Brown

Lucy, Charlie Brown and Linus put on a play for us.
pumping on the log ride
Mexican Hat ride (like the teacups at Disneyland)
Hot Air Balloon ride
Lucy's Tugboat
Snoopy's Red Baron
Race Cars--one of Robbie's favs. We went on it about 5 times.
Semi-trucks
Snoopy's Air Mail--another of Robbie's favs...lots of times on this one. He had the biggest smile for this ride, and he would giggle all the way down. In fact he got off one time and said, "That's Robbie's favorite!"
It was so fun that at the end of the day we decided to upgrade to season passes. Robbie and I will be going here a lot this year!

Playing Hard

This week Robbie has enjoyed playing with all of his new toys. Here are pictures of just a few.

We went to the park a couple of times to try out his new baseball tee. He loves hitting the ball with the bat, and he's pretty good at it too!

his own tool set
Elefun...the elephant blows butterflies out his nose, and we get to catch them in our nets.
