Tournament of Roses

We decided to check out the float decorating of the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena.
They gave us each our own rose in the color of one of the teams playing in the football game-Oregon or Wisconsin.
It was amazing to see all the people, supplies, and space it took to build these floats.

Last Get-Together

Our good friends are moving to Tucson this week so we decided to get the families together for one last play group with them on Monday.

We took our baseball pitcher for the kids. Robbie's up to bat.

Christmas Day

We woke up Christmas morning and headed downstairs to see if Santa had come. We decided to only look at our stockings before church and save the rest of the gifts till after.

We sat down to our traditional strawberry waffles breakfast.

Then got ready for church.
When we got home, Robbie was aching to start unwrapping.
We feel very blessed this Christmas Season. It was a wonderful day. Thanks for all those who contributed to our day with phone calls, texts and gifts!

Christmas Eve

We had a fun filled Christmas Eve this year.
We started off the morning by going to a movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks. Robbie loves these guys.

After we got home, we got out the baseball pitcher and headed to the backyard for some movement.

Lydi loves when Dad throws her in the air.

We then had our nice Christmas dinner (which I did not get a picture of).

That evening, Robbie wrote his thank you note to Santa.
"Dear Santa,
Little bit is for you and Mrs. Santa.
Thanks for everything. 2011
Look on the tree
Thanks,
Robbie Lydia"
("on the tree" is referring to an ornament he had painted of Santa)
We ended the night on a spiritual note as Brian read the Christmas Nativity Story out of Luke 2 and Robbie acted it out with his Little People Nativity set. We've been reading a little of it each day with The Friend's "ABC's of Christmas" and I was excited to see how much of it Robbie remembered.

A Little Visit

We took a little trip down to San Diego this week with Brian's work.

Robbie in the hotel.

Lydia's not happy that Mom put her down for a picture :( She loved the mirror doors on the closets though.
We were able to meet up with Uncle Bobby, Aunt Jessica, and Breanna while we were there.

It was a nice little getaway! Fun to see family!

Christmas Is Coming...

This week at our ward Christmas party, Robbie sang with the Primary. He's standing with Sis. Wilson who is like another great grandma to him.
Our decorations are up and we are excited for Christmas!

Crawling

Lydia started moving yesterday! It's not very fast, but she's still going!
So proud of herself!
