First Day of Kindergarten

Today is the first day of kindergarten!  Robbie woke up so excited.  He told me that he thinks they will do some ABCs, numbers and painting today.

I can't believe this little baby of mine is at school.  I'm sure he's loving every minute of it.

Saying goodbye to Lydi.  She's not going to know what to do with her best friend gone.

Dotson Park

Our friends invited us to go to a park today that has a water/ splash pad area.
The kids had so much fun together.

Lydi stayed closer to the smaller fountains.

Daddy Time

We had some fun Daddy time this weekend.

We got in some wrestling,

high flying,

upside down time,

and lots of Daddy kisses.
We love our Daddy!

Caught

While the guys were out doing yard work, Lydi was helping me in the kitchen.  I looked down and noticed that she was admiring herself in the reflection on the dishwasher.  I ran and got the camera.

When she noticed that I saw what she was doing, I asked her if she saw pretty Lydi.

She got this embarrassed look on her face and came running to me while laughing and covering her mouth.

Yard Work

I can tell the weekly yard work is going to be a great bonding experience for Brian and the kids. The only place we've lived with a yard was our last house and the home owners had a gardener that came once a week.
Robbie loves that "Daddy is our gardener now".  We bought a weed eater that came with a leaf blower.  Robbie's job has been the leaf blower and he LOVES it.

Kinder Good Start

On Friday, we had "Kinder Good Start" day at Robbie's school.  The kindergarteners and their parents go for a half day to meet their teacher, get to know their classroom, do some activities, and visit the lunch room (since it's a full day program).  Robbie was super excited!

I got to go with him, while Brian stayed with Lydi.

Robbie was so funny.  While the principal and teachers met with the parents, they had the kids go to the playground with the class aides.  Some kids wouldn't leave their parents, others had their parents walk them to the playground.  Robbie just stood up and started to walk out.  I had to call his name for him to turn and say goodbye...he was SO ready to start this kindergarten thing!

At the end of the day, he asked me if he could come back the next day.  He really loved it there!  I'm so glad.  It makes it a little easier for me to let him go.  I think he really might be ready.

Temple

As Robbie was reading The Friend this week, he noticed the submission form for kids to send in messages or pictures.  He wanted to send in a drawing of his own.   I told him he needed to draw something that had to do with church and sent him on his way.  This is what he came up with- the temple.

Go Bolts!

On Saturday morning, Brian got a text from his brother, Bobby.  He wanted to know if Brian would like to take Robbie to the Charger football game that night.  He had tickets he couldn't use since he was out of town.  The answer was a big YES!  Gawbie and Breanna were coming out to see us that day, so they brought the tickets with them.  The boys had so much fun at the game!

And to make the evening that much better, the Chargers won against the Cowboys (or as Robbie calls them "the Cowgirls") 28-20.
