Our Week

I haven't taken many pictures this week.  Trying to get back into the swing of things.
My mom and I took the kids on a few bike rides around the neighborhood this week.

Daddy and Thomas hanging out before bedtime.

I caught Thomas smiling for the camera this morning.

Family Photo

Yesterday was Thomas's first day at church.  We just went for sacrament meeting and he slept the whole time. Gotta love the newborn stage!

Fun with Grandma

This week we took Grandma to our favorite park.  She brought some duck food with her and we had to go feed the ducks.  The ducks loved it!  They came flying from all over to get in on the food.

Grandma also taught the kids about wheel barrow racing.  We've had a few races since then.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to this amazing guy! He is so good to me and the kids, and we love him a ton!

We are also very grateful to our own father's for being great examples.  We miss you!

First Bath

Thomas lost his cord on Friday, so he had his first bath on Saturday!  He was so calm and loved it.  Lydi got to wash his tummy, and Robbie got to wash his feet.  I have 2 amazing helpers who can't get enough of their baby brother.

Family Time

We have had a good time being at home as a family this week.  Brian has taken some time off and it's been good to relax together.

Thomas loves to be swaddled.

He's a smiler too.  He will lock eyes with me and give me this big ol' grin.  I love it every time!

hanging on to Grandma--he loves his pacifier

Brian was able to take the older kids to Knott's one day.  They have 3 new rides in Camp Snoopy now, so they went to check them out.

Thomas Arrives

Thomas joined our family on June 5, 2014!

My mom flew in the night before and we were so glad that Thomas waited for her to get here.  On the morning of June 5, I went in for my 40 week appointment.

The doctor told me I was dilated to 6 cm and that I could go to the hospital at any time.  She told me that as soon as I start having contractions I better get to the hospital quick.

I couldn't feel any contractions so I went home to get my bags and call Brian to come home from work.  We headed to the hospital at about 2 pm. I wasn't progressing very quickly at all since my contractions weren't consistent.

At about 8:30 or 9 pm the doctor came in to break my water and give me some pitocin. I dilated to 10 cm pretty quick after that, but Thomas didn't want to come too quickly.

I had to push for about 40 minutes.  He was just so big that he wasn't budging much!  He came at 11:06 pm though, 10 lbs. 1 oz. and 22 in. long!

My mom brought the kids the next morning to see us.  They are so in love with this little guy!

We came home on Saturday, June 8.

Summer Fun

Aunt Shannon and Uncle Adam came to visit this weekend.

We had a nice picnic in the park with the cousins.  They came to church with us on Sunday, too.  It was so fun to see them!

We had a little bit of time for the slip-n-slide, too.
