Our Week

Lydia was honored this week with a Paw of Praise.  When the teacher catches a student going above and beyond in a school value, they can recieve a Paw of Praise.  They get to visit the front office and place a paw on the special bulletin there.  Lydia was honored for Sincerity, Respect and Responsibility.  Her teacher said she's a hard worker, great listener, and is always looking for ways to help others out.  Love our Lydi!

Robbie did well at his game this week.  By the end of the game whenever Robbie got the ball the other parents on our team started to chant, "Dunk that ball".  They all think it's amazing how tall he is (actually we all do-he's 5'2" now).  His team is very supportive of each other, and it's been a good group to play with this year.

Lydi had her first game this week too.  Here is Lydi, passing the ball in for her team.

She was one of the few from either side that remembered to dribble the ball.  It's hilarious to watch these kids while they learn the basics.   She just needed to pass a little farther to her team mate.
It's so fun to watch our kids learn and grow!

OIT

Robbie had 10 peanuts at his OIT appointment this week!!!!  Each month the progress becomes more exciting!  He eats 8 peanuts/day at home now and will get up to 12 peanuts/day before his next appointment in April.

Puzzles

Thomas loves to put together puzzles.  We bought him this new Lion Guard one at the dollar store.  He sat right down to figure it out and he finished it all on his own!

Basketball

Lydi is making some good baskets now in her basketball class.  Her teacher also gave her a Valentine's balloon this week.

Robbie did well in his game also.  He scored 5 points to help his team win.
Making his free throw.

It's hard to tell who shot the ball in the video but it was Robbie:)

Monday

The kids had school off on Monday.  We decided to see the new Lego Batman movie.  We were surprised to see our theater had recliners for all of us to sit in!  Most comfortable movie I've ever been to and the kids felt very special.

Afterwards we met Brian for lunch and then headed to the park to play.  The kids found this tree to climb.

It was such a beautiful day!  We were sad to see when we got back to our car that someone had broken in and stolen my purse.  Luckily Brian was close and was able to come help us.  We are grateful no one was hurt.

Saturday

Brian recently changed jobs.  He works MUCH closer now with about a 5-10 min commute.  We are so excited:)  On Saturday we visited his new office.

Then we headed up to Universal Studios since our passes expire at the end of the month.  We wanted to try out butterbeer at Harry Potter World.  It's made in a facility with peanuts, but we can have that now!  We got a regular one and a frozen one.  My favorite was the frozen.

We also did some other rides.  Here we are on the Studio Tours.

It was a fun day!

Basketball

Here's a few videos from the kids' basketball this week.  Lydi's working on on making a basket--she's so close!

Robbie was fouled in his game and almost made his free throw shot.  He's really good at picking up the rebounds.

Basketball

We have been in full basketball mode lately. The kids play in our backyard and Thomas is tall enough to start making baskets.

Lydi is taking a clinic 2x/week to teach her more of the game.  She loves that there are 2 boys from her school class also taking the class.  They are on a different "team" but all the kids meet at the same place and time, so she still sees them.

They named their team the Blue Dolphins...Lydi is number 5.

dribbling practice

Robbie is in the city league again.  He practices 2x/week and has a game 1x/week.  They are the Purple Ballers this year and he's number 22.

It's fun to watch them all play!

Magic

Brian does "disappearing magic tricks" for the kids, and they LOVE it!  Thomas is completely surprised every time!

Pinewood Derby

Robbie and Brian continued work on Robbie's car.
They sanded,

drilled, carved

and painted.

Race Day

Robbie's car was called Warrior in honor of his favorite NBA team--Golden State Warriors.

Robbie won the race again for the 2nd year in a row!
