Home Bound

Because of Covid-19, we are all staying at home right now.  We picked up homework packets and iPads from the schools so that the kids can have school time each morning.
Reading time

The kids got Osmo educational games for Christmas, and they are now coming in super handy.

Cuddled up for movie night

Thomas had a Zoom Meeting with a few friends.  I've used Zoom alot to stay connected with theYW too.

We try to get out of the house at least once each day.  Our park has a little loop that the kids ride around and I walk.  I generally can walk 3 miles if we are out there for 1 hour.  The kids counted 100 laps on their scooters the other day too.

Catherine likes to dress up...4 hats this day.

Dark Wing Super Gecko this day.

When it's raining, I move the car out of the garage and let the kids play in there.  Robbie has a new basketball dribbling app that gives him drills to practice.  Everyone has enjoyed working on it.

We've built a lot of things too.

And put together puzzles...sometimes working together..

and sometimes as a competition

Yesterday we completed 4 bigger laps around our neighborhood.  It's about 1 mile.  Catherine ran for most of it!

Segerstrom Hall

Lydia had a chance to perform one of her Jungle Book play songs on stage at Segerstrom Hall.  The four schools that received a Disney Musical in Schools grant came together for a Student Share.  Our whole family got to go and watch her.  We had a bird's eye view of the whole thing.

All the students sat in the middle here.

Lydia found us!

The schools all performed a number together. She's the blonde in all green behind the microphones.

Then each school got to share a song from their play. She's the blonde in all green.

They also showed a video of each of the school's rehearsals.

End of Basketball

Robbie's school team made it to the play offs!
They played hard but lost.  His city team also played their last game on Wednesday.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures since I was holding a sleeping girl, but they played hard.  Brian enjoyed coaching them and it was a great experience overall.

Lydia had her last city game on Thursday.  She played hard too.  The city cancelled all basketball banquets for the year, so it's officially over.

Brian, Robbie, Danny, and Bobby went to the Laker game on Tuesday night.  They were happy they got to see one of the last games.  The next day, all NBA games were suspended.

It's been a fun basketball season.  We are grateful for the opportunities the kids have had.  We are also grateful that Danny and Bobby could join Brian and Robbie for fun family time.

Cousin Time

Some of our Wheeler cousins came to visit from Utah on Saturday.  We had a lot of fun hanging out with them for the day.

Fuddruckers for dinner
Thanks for coming to visit us!

Animal Shelter

Lydia's Activity Day church group has been making fleece blankets to take to an animal shelter periodically for the last 6 months.  On Saturday they got to donate them, and she was so excited.  It was the same day that our Wheeler cousins came to visit, so Ashley and Aunt Laura came with us.

The shelter gave the kids a tour of the facility.  They visited the dogs.

They also saw the Cat House.

Both girls love animals and absolutely loved being there.

Basketball

It's been another fun week of basketball!

Robbie had a few visitors at his games.  His friend from church came to watch him on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Wheeler cousins came to cheer him on.

Thomas had his last game on Tuesday.

Lydia played well in her game on Wednesday evening.

Just to have pictures of everyone---Here is Catherine his week.  Her hair goes bonkers, so we've been trying to get it out of her face at least while she eats.

She likes to pick flowers.  We put his little pink one behind her ear while waiting to pick up the kids for school.
