Our Week

 Robbie organized our youth activity this week.  He arranged for us to tour the courtroom and judge chambers of Bro. Griffin in our ward.  He's a judge at the courthouse by our neighborhood.  It was so interesting!  He had great stories and information.  Some of the youth are interested in coming back to watch one of his trials.

Lydia's friend had a birthday party.    They went to Long Beach for pizza and riding surrey's on on the boardwalk.  She had so much fun!

6th Grade Science Camp

Lydia attended 6th Grade Science Camp this week.  She left Wednesday morning and came back Friday afternoon.  She had a total blast!  They went up the mountain to the ECOS camp this year.

Up at camp her teacher was really good about sending us pictures throughout the day.  Here are a few that Lydia was in.  It snowed the day before they got up there and then was sunny the whole time they were there.

They went on multiple hikes each day, including a night hike where they learned about the constellations.  Lydia and her friend were the only ones who would lay in the snow to check out the stars.

 

She had so much fun but we loved having her back!

 

Valentine's Day & Such

We had a nice Valentine's Day this year! Brian and I went to dinner at Angelo's and Vinci's on the night before.

 

Only Catherine's class had a Valentine's Party.  

 

She made a hand written card for everyone and was so excited to pass them out.

We rode our scooters to the school and played on the playground on one of our days off. 

Robbie had a fun Nerf War for one of his youth activities.

 

The Addams Family Play

 Lydia's 5th/6th grade school play this year was The Addams Family.  She has had 1.5 hr practices 3x per week since December.  She has loved all the time put into the play, and it turned out so great!

Super Nintendo World

Universal Studios opened their Super Nintendo World early for pass holders.  I got a reservation for the earliest 2 hour time-slot on Saturday (10-12)!  We had heard nightmares about the lines and crowding, so we decided to get there at 8:30 when check-in time started and have a lot of patience.  Since they had had issues earlier in the week with crowding, they secretly opened at 9 am instead of 10.  We got to ride on Bowser's Challenge 2 times (!!) as a whole family before it really started getting crowded.  Then I went with Catherine to meet Princess Peach, and Brian took the other 3 kids in the single rider lane and rode it 2 more times.  When we left, the wait time was 75 mins! We felt like we hit the jackpot!
