Thomas's Birthday

Thomas turned 9 years old today!  We've been celebrating all weekend.

Brian took him to breakfast at Denny's today.

Yesterday, he opened presents and had cake.

I didn't get a good picture of the cake but it had basketball pictures on it!

Thomas loves to play sports and has a big heart!  We love you, Thomas!

Piano Recital

Lydia and Thomas had their piano recital on Sunday.  Each played a classical piece, a popular piece, and then they played a duet together.

Lydia played Fur Elise and the theme song to Wednesday.

Duet- Merry Melodies from Loonie Tunes

Thomas played William Tell Overture from the Lone Ranger, and Bare Necessities from Jungle Book.

Shannon, Adam, and Abbi were in town so they joined us!  I didn't get any pictures, but we loved having them there!

Great Grandpa Wheeler

On Friday, we headed down to San Diego to the funeral of Great Grandpa Wheeler.

He was a fire captain, so the fire department was present for the service.  They followed in the procession and played the bugle at the graveside.  They allowed the kids to check out the fire truck too.

Afterwards Grandpa took us to lunch at Rubios.  It was nice to remember Great Grandpa's life and see family.

Last Week of School

We have had a crazy week!  Everyone finished their school year with flying colors.  They did so well this year!

Brian took her and Tom out to ice cream afterwards.

Lydia had her 6th grade Graduation on Thursday!  She's moving on to junior high!

She received the Presidential award too.

Afterwards, Brian and I took her to the Paris Baguette bakery...delicious!

Robbie also took and passed his driving test!  He is officially licensed!  He drove himself to school for this last week, and it was such a blessing!

And Catherine learned how to ride a bike without training wheels!!
