Urban Air

We tried out Urban Air which is an indoor trampoline and play place.  They had a lot of fun obstacles and games to play.  We were there for 5 hours and only left because we were exhausted.

Basketball

This week Catherine's team is really getting the hang of working as a team.  It was fun to see them get a convincing win!  Thomas has jumped up to assistant coach.  He loves going to her practices and helping Robbie out.

Thomas's team met a formidable team this week.  They were down by 18 points in the first quarter.  They made some adjustments though and bounced back to only down by 2 points at the end of the game.  They played so hard!  Thomas played well, and we lost count of how many points he scored.

 

Summer Fun

We went on our favorite trail today by our house.  We love this little garden area with painted logs and rocks.

It was such a hot day!  We decided to then head to Yogurtland for a cool treat.

 On Wednesday for YW, we made homemade pretzels!  They were so yummy that we are going to try to make them on our own this week.

We also spent some time in the hot tub.  We've cooled it down for the summer, so it just feels like a heated pool.  Perfect for a hot day!

Angelo's and Vinci's Restaurant

 Angelo's and Vinci's Restaurant is closing today.  We went last week for our final dinner there.  We haven't gone often since they are only open for dinner hours, but we love their pizza and pasta.  They have the craziest decor too!

They are always a fun restaurant and we will miss them!

Basketball

Basketball in full swing.  Robbie is coaching both Catherine and Thomas's teams.

Catherine is learning each week and growing in confidence.  She is a great defender!

Big Bear

 Last week was the youth trip to Big Bear to our bishops cabin.  The YW go up Monday-Wednesday.  The YM join us on Wednesday and stay through Friday.  It's such a fun trip and all the youth love it!  I got to attend as a leader as well.

On Monday, the YW wanted to try out the ropes course in Big Bear.  It was a little scary at first but we all did it and it was so fun!

 

 

We also raced the go-carts.  Lydia rode with me since she wasn't 14 yet.

That night we watched the sunset on the bishop's dock.

On Tuesday morning, we headed out on the boat and sea doos.  I drove some of the YW on the sea doo.

That evening we went to Village shops to browse.

On Wednesday morning, the YM joined us.

Then I got to go on the boat with Lydia.  We decided to try the raft together.

 Brian worked from home Wednesday while we were all gone.  They had a lunch date at Chik-fil-a.
