End of Basketball

Catherine and Thomas had their last basketball games on Saturday.  Both played their best and had a great season!

Afterwards we hosted a dual banquet at our house for both teams.  It was raining at the beginning, but by the end we were able to go out in the backyard.  Robbie always does a great job saying something awesome about each player. Kids and parents love him!!

Spring Break

We had a pretty relaxing Spring Break.  Kids spent a lot of time in the backyard.  We had a few play dates too.

Catherine loves flipping off just about anything that she can find.

She lost her other front tooth this week also.

Robbie and I got to see MJ the Michael Jackson play at Segerstrom for my ongoing birthday present.  The actors were so good and parts of it felt like a concert!

Dad also planned hangouts with each family member as part of his birthday gift.  He was able to take the girls out this week.  Catherine and Dad went to Knotts one afternoon.  She loved the one on one time.

Then on Saturday, Dad and Lydia went to the Terry Fator show.  He's a ventriloquist and Lydia has been looking forward tot his for a long time.

They had front row seats at the La Mirada theater.  He won America's Got Talent and has had a Vegas show for a few years now.

Our Week

Lydia was in charge of the YW/YM combined activity this week.  She organized a Where's Waldo at our church building.  Here's her group completing one of the tasks.

We had a hawk come visit our backyard.

Catherine played awesome in her game, getting 2 baskets and playing great defense.  Thomas was sick and did not play this weekend.

Temple Progress

The Yorba Linda temple is coming along nicely!  We love to drive by and get pictures occasionally, but it's been a while.  The walls are up and work continues despite all the rain we've had.

Dad and Robbie Outing

For Brian's birthday, he wanted a one-on-one outing with each of us.  On Saturday, Robbie had his turn!  They decided to go to the shooting range.  They played a few different target games with a variety of guns.

Afterwards they tried out the new Fogo de Chao that opened up by us.

Hockey & Painting & Basketball

Thomas had a school field trip to the Honda Center to see the Anaheim Ducks hockey team.  They had a full house of 4th graders!  They taught a little bit about the science and math behind playing hockey like the size, shape, and weight of the puck, angles that the players use to shoot the puck, friction with the ice, etc.  It was a fun event.  I got to go with Thomas and he even made the jumbo tron!

Lydia had a paint night for YW.  She chose to paint a hoodie.  There's a few more details she wants to add, but it's turning out nicely!

Thomas and Catherine played hard at their games this weekend.  Catherine got a basket again and the game ended in a tie!  I didn't get any pictures of Thomas playing since I was sitting behind a pole, but he also played well even though his team got their first loss of the season.
