Catherine wanted to take Dad and Lydia on her favorite walk on Sunday.

Catherine and I took a kindergarten tour.  They were having a snow day to celebrate the water cycle.  She's so excited to start in August!

Scooter Time

On New Year's Eve we took the kids to Craig Park to ride our scooters.  It was such a beautiful day and fun to ride on some hills.

An American Coot and a Belted Kingfisher hanging out at the pond.
After we rode for some time, Catherine played on the playground while Brian and I switched off riding with the older kids around the park more.

Christmas

We had a lovely Christmas!  On Christmas Eve, we had our traditional ham dinner.
While we were eating we saw this incredible rainbow outside our kitchen window.
We read the Nativity story in the Bible, watched Forgotten Carols, and opened new Christmas pjs.

On Christmas morning...coming down the stairs.
We had yummy strawberry waffles for breakfast after opening presents.
Then we tried out our new electric scooters when the rain cleared up.

It was a wonderful relaxing few days.  We are grateful for family time and for Christ, who makes it possible for our family to be eternal!

Christmas Festivities

We tried to do some fun things to get in the Christmas Spirit.  We drove around a few neighborhoods too look at the lights.

Not specifically Christmas, but we finally went to walk around Laguna Lake.  Beautiful birds!

We made our traditional gingerbread houses out of pop tarts.

We ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory.  It's one of those restaurants that everyone likes.

At our Ward Christmas party the Primary sang Christmas songs and visited with Santa.

Brian also gave me an early Christmas gift to see Marie Osmond in concert!  I've loved her music for a long time so it was fun to hear her sing live.  It was her first show since Covid.

Family Time

Brian had a chance to hang out with his brothers before Christmas.  They went to a hockey game.
And a Chargers football game.

The Sunday afterwards both families came over for a BBQ.  It was fun to have the families together and let the cousins play.
