Back to School

The kids headed back to school today!  Robbie starts his sophmore year and headed out early for seminary.

End of Summer

The youth had an end-of-summer beach party last week and I decided to take all the kids.  We haven't spent too much time at the beach this summer.

Catherine was the only one who really wanted to get in the water.

She collected sea shells and decorated the sand.

Then on Friday, we went to meet Catherine's teacher and classroom.  She's so excited to have Mrs. Higgs.  She's been teaching for 30 years and seems so good for Cat.

The primary had a pool party on Friday night too.

Robbie and Brian went shooting with the YM on Saturday.

I took the kids to see their new classrooms on Saturday too.  We found out their teachers on Friday night.

 

Thomas had another awesome basketball game on Saturday.  They have won all their games so far!

 

Afterwards we went to get pizza at Angelo's & Vinci's.  Yummy food and crazy decor!

Running, Basketball, & Orientation

Lydia continues with her running club.  They met at a new park this week to run some different trails.

The other kids came to play while she ran.

The boys had their second basketball game, which they won.  

They also had team pictures.

Robbie and Catherine both had their school orientations this past week.  Robbie got his new id and schedule.  Catherine had her kindergarten assessment, and Lydia showed her the friendship garden at school.  She goes back on Friday to find out and meet her teacher.

Braces

Well, after 3 years Robbie got his braces off today!  His narrow arch and overbite are gone.  He's grown up in so many ways these past three years.  Always so handsome!

Universal Studios

Lydia has been dying to go to Universal Studios to see the Harry Potter World.  We decided to get passes here instead of Knotts this year.  We went for our first day on Saturday after Tom's game.  We knew we were only getting half a day, so we focused on Harry Potter World.

Later we went on the Back Lot Tour, saw Water World show, and went on Minions ride. 

 

At night they have a Hogwarts light show that was fun to see too!

Basketball

Thomas has started another season of YMCA basketball.  This season Brian and Robbie are his coaches!  It's been a fun bonding activity for all of them.  Robbie pretty much runs the practices and games.  Brian is there to support and help.  Their team won their first game on Saturday!
