7th Annual "Brian Wheeler Day"

Today was the 7th celebration of Brian Wheeler Day! For those who don't know the history here, when Brian was in high school he noticed his school was not saying the Pledge of Allegiance. He went to the district, and through a process had the voluntary recitation reinstated in the schools. The county of San Diego honored him with his own official "Brian Wheeler Day". So every February 26...we get to celebrate;-) We are so proud of him!

We started the celebration with a linner at Brick Oven (one of our favorites) that included a surprise visit from Mom and Dad Wheeler. Thanks!

Then we headed to Nickelcade. Brian and I had been there a few times before, but never with Robbie. We all had a lot of fun. It was nice to relax and spend time with one another.
p.s. I don't think I've ever seen Robbie so stimulated...he didn't know where to focus with all of the blinking lights, sounds, and buttons to push!

Robbie's New Love

Robbie got a singing Johnny Cash dog in the mail this week from Great Grandma and Grandpa. He loves it! He likes to place it in the hallway and turn it on every time he walks by through out the day. I think he finds reasons to back to his room just so he can push the button one more time;-)
Thanks, Great Grandma and Grandpa!

A Day in the Park

It was absolutely beautiful to day, so my friend and I took our kiddies to the park for a picnic. It was so fun being in the sunshine. Here's some pictures I got.

Play Ball!

So I have not been good at getting pictures this week at all. I did catch this one video of Robbie playing ball. He loves to use his beach shovel and hit the ball back to Dad. He's getting pretty good at his aim!

Bath Time

It's been a while since we showed any bath time photos. Robbie continues to really enjoy his time in water. He loves the bubbles and would spend hours in the tub if we let him.

When it's time to get out he lines up all of his squirters along the ledge there in the picture. He has to make sure they are all straight and facing outward--what an organizer ;-). Then he says good bye to them.

Valentine's Day Fun

On Valentine's Day Brian and Robbie surprised me in the morning with a pancake breakfast in bed. I loved it! Then Robbie found his Valentine basket with a few treats and a new Elmo book. We made some great cupcakes and finished decorating some sugar cookies that we baked at a friends house earlier in the week. It was such a great day! We loved it!
