5 Years Old

Robbie turned 5 years this week!  At his check-up we found:

Height: 47 inches (100% +)

Weight: 48 lbs. 4 oz. (75%)

He had a vision, hearing, iron, and urine test and passed with flying colors!

What's new with him:

• He grew 3.5 inches this year.  This brought out-growing lots of clothes and some leg aches.
• He loves Star Wars.
• He likes to sing "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister.
• He likes to read. Favorite authors: Dr. Seuss, Sandra Boynton
• He likes to ride his bike.
• He eats very well. Not picky at all. 
• He loves to pretend and build things.

We love you Robbie!

Birthday Festivities

Well, we have had quite the weekend!  Gawbie and Grandpa W. surprised Robbie by coming down to visit Friday for his birthday.  I told Robbie that I had a birthday surprise for him and started driving to the airport.  When we got there I told him we were going to see the airplanes take off and he was so excited! (had no idea) We walked in to the baggage claim area and said we were going to have to wait in the line there to see the airplanes.  When I spotted Gawbie and Grandpa we started walking toward them, but Robbie still didn't notice them.  We got right next to them before he realized that they were there!  He was so shocked and excited to see them!

The next morning was Robbie's 5th birthday!  It looked like Christmas!

 Then we headed out to the Speed Zone for some miniature golfing, car racing and bowling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Robbie requested black bean soup that night for dinner and a monster cake.

We had a ton of fun! I can't believe I'm a mother to a 5 year old!  Thanks to Gawbie and Grandpa for coming!

Technologist

Just look at her form...perfect use of the mouse. By the time we found her she had changed the "weather" icon to a "calendar" icon, opened a few files, and printed a paper. 

That's right. I'm not exaggerating.

Slip 'N Slide

This afternoon we broke out the slip 'n slide and had a ball.  Robbie was so entertained, and Lydi had a fun time discovering the water.

 

 

 

 

 She's starting to stand up by herself! 

 

When Lydi had had enough of the water in her face, we let her dry off and accessorized accordingly.

 

  

We spotted two hawks soaring over the canyon behind our house as we packed up to go in, too.

We had another game on Saturday.  Robbie did well, scoring 2 goals!

Another House Update

I feel like I blog about the same things every week lately.  But here's another house update!
