Pinewood Derby

Our ward had a Pinewood Derby activity-no rules.  We designed this car called Interrupting Cow. It has a hanger on the front to block cars in the nearby lanes plus an extender to be the first to cross the line.  It's a good concept but needs some tweaking.  We think it was a little top heavy, since the other cars could push it over when it made contact. 

It was a fun night though and our car got the award for Most Unique.

Father and Son Campout

The boys had fun on their Father and Son Campout.  They ate at In-n-Out for dinner before heading to the camp grounds.

The girls had fun too.  We went to Taco Bell, watched Beauty and the Beast, and painted our nails.

Our Week

We went to some friends' house this week for dinner and to watch a basketball game.  Lydi and her friend found a rope, tied it up in the tree and were reenacting "Rewrite the Stars" from The Greatest Showman.  I loved it!

Catherine is walking everywhere and getting faster by the second.  At the park one night, she stole Tom's scooter and wanted to ride it the whole time.  Lydi and I took turns pushing her around on it.

Brian got the car pool stickers for his new car.  He's pretty excited about those.

Lydia and I had a fun time at our Mother & Daughter Stake Activity.

We also had lunch with our friends.  It was a great activity.  We look forward to it all year long.

Thomas

For Thomas's sports class this week, they learned about baseball.  He loved it!

He always comes back to basketball in his free time though.

Catherine

At the the playground, Catherine likes to play peek-a-boo and go down the slide by herself.
