Birthday

We celebrated Brian's birthday last weekend!  We went to Olive Garden on Saturday and made his favorite chicken and rice casserole on Sunday.  I also attempted to make an ice cream cake for him.

We love to celebrate all his hard work and love for our family.
Happy Birthday, Brian!

Champions

Thomas played his last flag football game!  He did a great job, and his team won the championship!

The champions each got a ring.

He was so happy for a fun season with his friends.

Lydia performed a ventriloquist act at The Champion for Children's block party that our school district sponsors.  Each school had different talent acts throughout the day.  Lydia had told one of her teachers that she did ventriloquism, and her teacher recommended her to be one of their school's acts.  The principal called her out of class one day to ask if she would be willing.  She was so excited for this opportunity!  She did a great job!

Her principal and vice principal came to cheer her on.  One mom in the crowd asked Lydia if she would talk with her daughter because she wants to get into it also.  It was so cute!

The event also had a room of therapy dogs that Catherine wanted to check out.  There were 4 dogs, but this one seemed to be her favorite!

We've had such a gorgeous moon the last few days.  I've tried getting some pictures of it.  They don't do it justice, but it's fun to try.

Our Week

Catherine still likes to snuggle.  She thought we looked like twins this day, so we had to take a picture.

At the end of Robbie coaching the basketball season, the parent's collected money to get Robbie a gift card to Best Buy.  He decided to get a shifter for his racing set up.  He's having fun improving his racing skills.

I finished a quilt top.  This has been a 6-month project.  I found a Facebook group that was releasing a new block pattern each week to create a quilt by the end of the year.  It was hard for me to keep up!  I didn't do all of their patterns, but I like the ones I have.  I used scraps that I had on hand. Now to quilt it!

Thomas played another great game on Friday night!  They are headed to the championship game this week.

We went to see the play, Bye Bye Birdie, performed by a local youth theater group.  One of our YW was in it and a lot of Lydia and Thomas's friends from school.  We took another YW to see it with us.  It was so cute and fun!  I love these girls supporting each other.

Halloween

For Halloween this year, Lydia went as a teddy bear, Tom was a polar bear, and Cat was Cat in the Hat.

Thomas wasn't feeling well on Halloween and had to stay home from school.  He was super bummed.  Catherine's teacher and friend sent me pictures of her day at school.

In the school parade

That evening, I took Catherine and Lydia around our neighborhood for trick or treating.

Activities

Catherine finished her Stage 4 swim lessons and will start Stage 5 next week!

Lydia made us a delicious coffee cake one morning.  She was a little chilly, so she put her feet up by the oven while it baked.

Thomas had another great flag football game on Friday night.  He scored his first offensive touchdown!
